I've been engaged in culture criticism as a prep-school ethics and philosophy teacher from 1984 to 2003--and as a freelance writer since 1989. My articles have appeared regularly in (San Diego's) North County Times since 1996. My book reviews often appear in The American Spectator Online. I've also had reviews published in The American Enterprise, Touchstone, and First Things. My column "Hating Dr. Laura" was read, enthusiastically, by Dr. Laura and later published on World Net Daily. My review of Mark Steyn's book, AMERICA ALONE, was linked prominently by the author (The Bon Vivant and the Falling Camel) and is now archived at The American Spectator Online. I write to help people combat the regnant moral misconceptions of our era. I've completed a manuscript focusing on TEN STUPID THINGS AMERICANS SAY. It reads like my posts--only more so.
