RKirk: I've been engaged in culture criticism as a prep-school ethics and philosophy teacher from 1984 to 2003--and as a freelance writer since 1989. My articles appeared regularly in (San Diego's) North County Times from 1996-2012 and in UT San Diego's Californian from 2012-2013. Several book reviews are in the archives of The American Spectator online. I've also had reviews published in The American Enterprise, Touchstone, and First Things.
